Paintball Games Versus Airsoft

By Jenteal Jones

Hordes of people have been provided with a chance to play out their combat fantasies by the paintball airsoft. If this has been your dream that you were hiding in the bush and stalking your human prey in Rambo type situations, then Airsoft might exactly be the game for you.

A great deal of similarity between the paintball players and airsoft players exists. Airsoft players are divided into squads just like paintball and then sent out into wooded terrain to attempt and get rid of the players on the other team or teams. Amazingly, the guns used in airsoft appear and react exactly similar to real automatic weapons. This resemblance and approximate authenticity makes way for a superior role playing situation.

In similarity just like paintball team play airsoft have guns but the difference lies in that in regular paintball play the guns shoot small gel-like paint filled capsules and in airsoft the guns shoot small plastic BB like pellets that will do no harm to the individual and bounce off. Again similarly protective gear especially for the eyes is also required in airsoft just as in the case of paintball.

A direct hit to the eye by any flying object can be very dangerous and should be taken seriously so protection is needed in airsoft too even though the airsoft pellets may be harmless to the body but eyes should be taken care of. Complete protection of eyes while playing airsoft games or paintballing can be achieved by wearing eye protection. To wear a full paintball mask will be the best protection while playing either sport as it will protect the entire head as well as the area around the eyes.

With passing years paintball has grown in fame, airsoft also does not lag behind. You can confuse the two due to striking similarity between the two and you don't have the familiarity with them. While treking through the woods, armed with rifles and other equipment can be found in regular paintball play, this type of combat role play is offered by airsoft too.

Training with live ammo rounds or even blanks in areas that are difficult is avoidable and here the low impact of the airsoft pellets comes in handy. Participants train in real-life conditions and environments, when airsoft is used in this situation, which makes it possible for them to improve upon their fighting skills and to understand what combat is really like.

On the front of outdoor competitive sport paintball airsoft marks a relevant presence. Both games are acquiring people's interest with paintball leading ahead. Out of the two, whatever you choose whether it is airsoft or paint ball, each sport is sure to give you a feeling of team spirit. - 22873
