How To Pack Like A Paintball Pro

By Brent Renieke

Very few people venture out onto the paintball field only once and when you become the next victim of paintball fever it's a good idea to make a checklist of what items you'll be needing to go from a beginner paintballer to an intermediate paintballer.

If you've been buying bits and pieces of equipment here and there as you've gone along then now may be a good time for you to upgrade on some of the more important pieces of equipment. And if you're completely new to the sport don't worry we've compiled a list of what you'll need to get started with paintballing.

First on the list for most paintball enthusiasts is the paintball gun or marker. Your paintball gun is a delicate piece of equipment so you want to make sure it is protected at all times and especially when you're transporting it. Right next to your marker should be a cleaning device such as a squeegee to clean out the barrel of your paintball gun as a dirty barrel can really hurt your accuracy.

Buying the right type of paintballs for your paintball gun is of critical important becasue the wrong paintballs will not come out of the barrel properly and this will make you horribly inaccurate. Make sure you have the right paintballs for your marker and make sure you pack them in air tight containers or jars that will protect the rest of your stuff from broken paintballs. Last on the list and under the not necessary category but could really have a positive impact on your accuracy and performance is a scope for your gun or marker.

Just as important as the paintball gun is the mask or helmet you'll be wearing out on the paintball field. The importance of a mask cannot be understated as it protects your face and hopefully your ears from errant paintballs that could cause a lot of damage. One of the most important things to look for in a mask is mask that allows for clear and easy vision. Your vision is of utmost importance in paintball matches.

Secondly, when it comes to paintball helmets and masks there's nothing worse then a helmet that fogs up while you're playing! Imagine having to take off your helmet while you're playing because you can't see and then getting popped in the face with a paintball... not fun at all! Prevent that from happening by choosing your helmet or mask carefully.

As far as clothing goes if possible you want to wear clothes that have extra padding to help take the sting out of the paintballs the do hit you. It's also a good idea to completely cover your arms and legs because paintballs do tend to sting a bit.

You also want to pack some snacks and water because some paintball games can run pretty long and the last thing you want to do is run out of energy while out on the paintball field of battle.

Take all of these things into consideration before heading out onto the paintball field with your own equipment and it should ensure for a good quality experience on the field. - 22873
